Engineering Future, Honoring Tradition

As our family team evaluates these changing times, we recognize the manufacturing needs of elite tool and die makers. We are committed to a strong company foundation that will withstand the weight of our customers’ needs.

Our Design Path.

Design and Engineering: Learn More

Engineers use advanced CAD software to design the tool or die, ensuring it meets customer specifications and production needs.

Fabrication and Machining: Learn More

Skilled technicians fabricate the tool or die components using precision machining processes, adhering strictly to the design blueprints.

Testing and Quality Assurance: Learn More

The tool or die undergoes rigorous testing in real-world conditions to ensure optimal performance and durability before final delivery.

Crafted Excellence Across Generations

OUR FAMILY name has been in the industry for over 50 years. 2320 GSI are CERTIFIED TOOL AND DIE MAKERS, with skills that were passed down through many generations. We continue to design and build all types of high-speed carbide lamination, notching, progressive form tools, ROBOTIC welding jigs and fixtures. Over the last several years, we have added production machining, custom machined and welded units for unique situations, and have built and rebuilt machines for specific applications.

Design and Engineering

The first step involves detailed planning and design, where engineers and designers collaborate to develop precise specifications and blueprints for the tool or die. This stage uses computer-aided design (CAD) software to ensure accuracy and efficiency. The goal is to create a tool or die that meets the customer’s requirements for functionality, production volume, and material specifications. Feedback and revisions may be part of this process to fine-tune the design before moving on to fabrication.

Fabrication and Machining

Tool and Die making

Once the design is finalized and approved, the fabrication stage begins. This involves the actual manufacturing of the tool or die components using various machining processes such as milling, turning, and grinding. High-grade materials are selected based on the tool’s intended use and the stresses it will endure. Advanced machines and skilled technicians work together to cut, shape, and assemble parts with high precision. Quality control is integral at this stage to ensure all parts meet design specifications.

The final step is rigorous testing and quality assurance. The newly fabricated tool or die is tested under operational conditions to ensure it performs as intended. This may involve trial runs in the production environment where the tool or die will be used. Adjustments and optimizations are made based on the outcomes of these tests to guarantee high performance and durability. Once the tool or die passes all tests, it is approved for full-scale production or delivery to the client.
